STARTED...
Post-Modernism started in the 1940s. This movement came after the Modernism. If focuses on a different style of literature, philosophy, art, and architecture. Skepticism was a big thing in the Post-Modern era because no one knew what was true anymore. People felt like they were being lied to. A lot of the literature was based on writers own point of view and in a reasonable order. Even though most Post-Modern writers had deep topics to talk about they always kept it in a personal form but also had a sense of humor and playfulness so that can relate to other people. They also would reference a lot to other writings. Post-Modernism was a reaction to current events and culture that was happening at the time. It was very much about the present.
